It's that crazy time of the school year when we're trying to get everything wrapped up in time. Here are a few important dates to put on your calendar. #WeAreSouthSummit

Wrapping up the week by celebrating our awesome school nurses. They're in the trenches everyday fixing up all the boo-boos and helping keep our students healthy. Thanks for all you do, nurses. #WeAreSouthSummit #SchoolNurses #NationalNurseWeek

Fifteen days but who's counting? SSHS graduation is just a couple weeks away and our seniors could not be happier. We hope you'll join us as we send them off to change the world! #WeAreSouthSummit #SSHSWildcats #ClassOf2024

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week and we can't thank our teachers enough. They love our students and our students love them back. It takes passion, dedication and a million other special skills that we don't even know about. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to all of our teachers! #WeAreSouthSummit #TeacherAppreciationWeek24

Join us for our Technology Showcase on Monday, May 13th at the South Summit Middle School. You'll be amazed at the incredible things our students have developed this year.

When you're lucky enough to live near Utah's Mighty Five @NationalParkService and you get to paint them. Mrs. Cummings' Art class recently learned about collaborative color mixing to create beautiful masterpieces. These arches and landscapes are recognizable across the world. Who knows-maybe some of these artists will be just as famous one day too. #WeAreSouthSummit #SouthSummitMiddle #UtahMightyFive #NationalParks

Water bottles, coats and hats--oh my! Is your child missing their coat or hat? Or how about gloves or lunch box? Maybe now that you think about it, you haven't seen these things since Christmas time? Did they "borrow" your water bottle because they can't find theirs? Perhaps it's because they left it on the bus. Get your readers on, or take 'em off if that works better for you. Just make sure you can take a good peek at these pictures to see if anything looks familiar. There is quite a collection of lost and found items in the bus garage. If you recognize something that belongs to your child, you can pick it up at the bus garage. Someone is there most days between 1:30-4:30. If you need to come at a different time, you can call and schedule something that works better. 435-783-2373

We are happy to announce the results of the State Solo and Ensemble: Ellis Leary on Piano Solo achieved a Superior (I) rating and will be awarded a medal by the UHSAA.
Ivy Jackson in Woodwind Solo received a Superior Minus (I-) rating, earning a certificate from the UHSAA.
Tapestry, our Chamber Choir, scored two Superior Minus (I-) ratings, securing a plaque in recognition of their performance.
These accomplishments reflect the immense dedication and countless hours of practice our students have devoted. Their hard work places South Summit High alongside top-performing, not to mention larger, schools such as Ogden, Timpview, Provo and American Fork-just to name a few. This makes us one of the smallest schools to achieve "Straight Ones." Congratulations students, Mr. Beal and Mr. Scribner! #WeAreSouthSummit #SSHSWildcats #BandRocks

Celebrating our school lunch heroes today! Thank you lunch lady lunatics! We love you! #SLHD24 #LunchLadyLunatics #WeAreSouthSummit #SchoolLunchRocks

College signing day at SSHS, complete with color coded donuts. Which color would you choose? Congratulations to our students who committed to taking the next step in their education and life! Several students stopped by throughout the day to place a sticker on their picture. We're so happy to see the various colleges, universities, trade schools and employment industries represented. The Class of 2024 is ready to change the world one class, one job, one person at a time. #WeAreSouthSummit #SSHSWildcats #ClassOf2024 #MirrorLakeDonuts

Our 4th graders know him as Dayton Fry, the Science Guy, but we know Dayton as a semifinalist for the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program. By executive order of the President, the program was created sixty years ago to recognize and honor some of our nation's most distinguished graduating high school seniors. Dayton is one of eight Utah candidates, which have been narrowed down from 4,000 applicants, which will be narrowed down again to 161 final scholars. Not just anyone can apply, it's by invitation only. Mrs. Regan nominated Dayton earlier this year and they began the intensive application process soon after. Dayton will find out later this month if his semifinalist status changes to finalist when they announce the official U.S. Presidential Scholars for 2024. Official or not, Dayton is an incredible scholar, person and athlete. We are proud to have him represent South Summit and Utah. #WeAreSouthSummit #SSHSWildcats #PresidentialScholar

SSHS Interact Club was out doing some highway cleanup for Earth Day. Great job, students! #SSHSWildcats #WeAreSouthSummit #EarthDay
