Currently SSHS has one credit recovery option, while the State of Utah has a few alternatives. These options are available in the event a student failed or did not complete a class and needs it recovered.

Please keep in mind that the following options may not cover all required classes for high school graduation purposes.

This is an internal recovery system offered by SSHS. See the Counselors for more information. There is no fee attached to this, but students will be required to complete the class in a timely manner or credit may not be issued.
    Other Resources:

More information about accredited online options are available from the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) website at the following link:

Click on the "Students and Parents" tab to access the Online Course Providers.

Please be aware that some of these providers are free, while others are not. The course provider will let you know if there is a fee assessed for individual classes.

     Summer school:

South Summit High School offers a Summer School program to help students recover credits. Any student who received an 'F' grade in a Core class during the year can use Summer School to make it up.

Parents of students who received 'F' grades will be notified by mail usually in April/May of the Summer School option.

Summer School uses Edgenuity online to help students recover classes, while Math teachers are available to help students with Math recovery.
